The Brief

We’ve been the official filmmakers of The Game Fair for the last four years. Ever since we’ve been involved, the scale of the event has grown and with it our scope of work. In 2018 at Ragley Hall we were tasked with creating not just the showpiece video event but also a multitude of accompanying social media stings to make sure that every aspect of the event was covered and reached as many prospective punters as possible.

The Challenge

The sheer scale of the event required us to be everywhere at once. From tracking 4x4s on the off-road course and catching the Red Devils parachuting out of a helicopter into the main arena to keeping an eye on a world record skeet shooting attempt and just capturing the sights and sounds of the thousands of visitors, it was all systems go. Each presented a challenge of its own, requiring a different set up, rig and piece of kit to ensure we got the best possible shot.

The Solution

This project required military-like planning to pull it off. Our pre-production team developed meticulously detailed briefing schedules for all three days with our camera operators supported and chaperoned by our on-site Project Management team.

We also set up timelapse cameras several months before the event so that we could capture the site build. All of this was put together to create a series of snappy and stylish films. A very happy client booked us for the following year’s event straight away.
