The Brief

As some business began to reopen towards the end of the first COVID lockdown, the UK government issued strict health and safety guidelines. Our client, Barratt Developments, was one of those and came to us to produce a video that could clearly communicate their new protocols and protective measures to employees, customers and the industry at large.

The Challenge

With construction sites only allowed to re-open if they adhered to strict social distancing guidelines, Barratt Developments needed a video that explained the new measures and procedures being applied across all of their sites.

 

The project required us to film on location with several members of the Barratts team whilst also not putting anybody else at risk. As is often the case, turnaround time was short – we had just one week to ensure that the video could be released as soon as possible after the government’s announcement.

The Solution

Our producer worked closely with the Barratts team to finalise the piece-to-camera scripts and shot list, as well as the necessary logistical arrangements to ensure that everybody could adhere to social distancing rules and not put themselves or others at risk. 

This allowed us to send just one filmmaker out on to site, with all of the necessary equipment, to minimise risk and make sure that everyone involved was kept as safe as possible.
